I can confirm there are problems with firmwares on Sony Ericsson servers. At least 3 firmwares are corrupt and cannot be downloaded
Undownloadable firmwares:
X10a MSTAR-PE NAM1 1234-4834
X10a CUST-AR NAM1 1237-1014
X10i ORA-UK GENERIC 1234-6152
There may be more firmwares that are affected in the same way. These are the three I have personally tried, and failed, to download.

Thanks for the confirmation on that.......i have been trying for 3 days to get handset debranded with no luck. Is it just a case of waiting for SE to realise that thses firmwares are corrupt and replacing them on the servers before we can do anything ?
Regards Craig

@moogoo
cuz if i were to flash back to x10a, i can return it to the store where i bought it for a full refund and go buy an x10i somewhere else. I think if i were to return it as it is now..they might not take it back because of the x10i flashing.

@159159
At worst you can work out a trade with someone who has the x10i and wants an x10a. I bet you there are some out there....

@159159 why do you want to revert back to your branded firmware?
Delete db folder from C:/ProgramData/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/. Then use the backup files just like you used the files from my 4shared. Simples =).

Both C:/ProgramData/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/[...]blob_fs (for PC Companion) & C/ProgramFiles/[...]/blob_fs (for SEUS) only contains ICON_xxx.. files, there are no FILE_xxxx as shown in your lolly's screenshots anymore. The first time i debranded, the FILE_xxx were there but not anymore.
If i use SEUS, i simply get the "your phone is up to date". If i use PC Companion, i simply go to repair, go through start, prepare and at update, i basically get "Download Error: Unable to download your phone software. Please check your Internet connection or try again later".
Deleting db folder will redownload the files but like i said...i only get the ICON_xx in blob_fs.

i'm getting the roger branded phone tomorrow.
i have a question regarding debranding.
will i be able to update android afterward? like say they released 2.1, after debranding can i still get the newest android by debranding and installing generic UK firmware?

@articreaver - yes, you're simply returning the phone to its factory settings. It shouldn't and won't effect future updates direct from SE. You probably won't be able to get updates from Rogers though.
