hello guys. Having a w995 for a year i decided to go for the x10 mini pro.
I was not satisfied with the camera of the w995 because of low contrast and that purple thingy around buildings but after seeing your photos i think the mini has so much better contrast. How is the camera overall?(compared with a w995?) What really concerns me is that some people say it does not have zoom? Is this true?
I was going for the phone today and now i am not sure

The phone doesn't have zoom that's correct. Nor has it EV contol but it produces splendid photos.
Here's the camera part of GSM Arena's review of Mini Pro.

thanks for the response. There's absolutely no reason for SE not to include zoom. This is a big letdown. Also reading the gsmarena review I found out that the video recording is in the ancient 3gp format. Will any of these "problems" be solved with a firmware update? Do you guys know if there's a third party camera application? thanks in advance

Well - if it had zoom would have been a digital zoom anyway. And that you can even do with MSPaint or Paint.Net etc. on your PC if you really need it - the picture quality will be the same or better.
I'm sure you can find "zoom apps" in the market. I don't miss the zoom at all. If there is zoom I prefer a "real" optical zoom, but that's out of the question given the small housing size.
