Mash-Up is a place where you can share your favorite Android apps.

false79, seems to work without data connection... but since I'm not too familiar with the app, I can't tell if it's very easy to work on the small screen vs what you're used to.

Maybe you can try it out in the store... the app is a free download, maybe you test it out... but so far, I can tell you that it works.

My on-going battery saga blog entry.

**I've also found a nice music/video player I like, Zimly pretty cool looking and seems very polished.

@jplacson: Thx man. I got me the X10 mini for $319CAD so I can use easy money and it seems to be doing pretty good for me. I dunno if it's just me but after extensively using the phone, I get nauseous. I guess i have to work my brain in.

I think it's the small fonts. Android should come with global font control.

Regarding my battery saga, I've able to reduce the apps to the following:
Juice Defender
Advanced Task Killer
Wifi Power Manager

With these 3, I seem to get a reliable 2 day charge. Although realistically, why push it? I charge my phone every night even if it's at 50%. I want to enjoy my phone...not win some battery contest.

On that note, I also posted a review on Barnacle Wifi Tether for those that have rooted their phones. If anyone has gotten it to work with the screen off WITHOUT having to have something else running in the background, please post tips and tweaks!

@jplacson

Have you tried changing WiFi policy in settings to never turn WiFi off ? By default it is set tur turn WiFi of when the screen goes black. This may however require that you have version 1.2.A.1.174 of the mini software since earlier versions have been reported by some to have issue with the policy settings (my mini however have not had any policy issues).

I found the best application/widget to turn on/off bluetooth, gps, flashlight, wifi, and good battery indication. The application is called SwitchPro (paid one). I have downloaded many widgets to do such thing but they were so tiny and they looked stupid occupying a whole page each.

switch pro doesn't work on my x10 mini pro
the gps button doesnt work and cant get the data to be switched on either but nice app just doesnt work

Hey Arne, ya I did... Still gets cut. Error message on Barnacle is 'NAT server down' ... I'm still trying to figure out if it's a background service that ATK is killing... Barnacle is already on the ignore list, but I suspect one of the core services of SonyEricsson might be used as well... I'm doing a brute force trial and error of each service.

Is there an app like Bluetooth Remote Control?
I've tried GMote and it doesn't allow to choose the player I want to use, though I like the way you can use the screen to move the cursor on the PC

Just paid for Swiftkey... The only app I have paid for so far. It saves a lot of typing... excellent app, and very cheap until the end of the month.
