love my wildfire and my desire, both the same sort of colour, and as for the design, in my opinion they look far better than the X10. Both are easier to use than the X10, both perform better than the X10, and the screen quality is way better than the X10.
hTC sense is far superior to media or timescape, and desire is 2.2 and wildfire is 2.1 X10 is still only 1.6 with the release of 2.1 still a week at least away for generic and may well be sometime after that for network handsets.
If people want the phone to look like an iphone i,e white or black then why not just get an iphone????
Design is all down to individual taste, I like others here like the design and look/colour of the wildfire and desire.
Desire HD is a step forward in design and looks, combines the wildfire nexus one and desire all in one design, so the best of all worlds for me.
Can not wait to get my Desire HD to complement my other hTC products, and after along time ericsson and sonyericsson user since the late nineties, it was the design and attitude of SE that made me dump my X10 and go for hTC.
My Son got a desire, when I had my X10, and that made my mind up after a short time using his desire, I had to have one.

Well yes but i was not comparing them to anything else just don't like the designs. Saying all that i would love a Desire HD but it does look a touch big. Its like i loved the new iphone 4 design but never liked the earlier iphones.

The HTC Desire HD isn't big mate its an excellent size. Bigger the better in my opinion, brilliant for web surfing and watching videos, good size for using it for the maps and texting etc.
I thought there would be a black HTC Desire HD out by the first advert showing it in black but turns out all networks are selling the mocca version (which is a funny colour as it changes from charcoal and dark brown depending on light). o2-UK hasn't got it on their portfolio but all other networks have. Phones 4U have the best sim free price at £449.95, it's madness that Carphone Warehouse has it priced at £494.99 sim free and most on-line retailers are around £460-70 sim free.

QVGA resolution not supported, but they say it 'might' be in the future.

Some Wildfire users on xda-devs have Angry Birds running ok, apparently just slow to boot up, locking screen then unlocking speeds process up apparently. Not tested, so can't confirm, as my wife can't stand the game and won't let me put it on her phone.
