Just read the review....I'm still not convinced about the display part with the GSIII, i mean the GSIII uses pen tile but they didn't even mention that so it's no where near as the Ion's display in term's of detail. I didn't notice that they mentioned this. Moreover the thing about more contrast in the One X and the S3 is plain useless. how can you call them excellent displays and over the Ion's if the colours are way off t5he mark.......their display looks plainly unnatural.......i'd pick the Ion's display over those two any day.....!!

Me neither. The GS3 display is not as sharp and the colours on the Ion are more natural and is sharper pixels wise. Here is a two part video review. Phone Arena tend to be manners in reviews.

Personally, I still love my iPhone 4S - not just because of the simplicity (although highly limiting) but mostly because of the plethora of accessories (looking at the Bose SoundDock 10 this month) - however I think I may settle on this Xperia Ion as an upgrade before the next iPhone makes/breaks expectations. Pricing in the US is solid and to be honest of Sony/AT&T open up NFC Wallet purchasing apps/partnerships this WILL take off.

I can get an Ion from Asia pretty easily but just wondering would the phone support some wallet services here in NZ? They have invented a Snapper service (bit like Oyster card in London) where you tag on the bus with your phone and and tag off, and you can also pay other things with it. At the moment the only phone supporting it is an LG of some sort, but if I get the Ion with its NFC capability would it work? Or is that a question to the developer? I would love to get the Ion, money pending of course, I need to win the lottery!!

Hey about the Engadget review, i am really confused, The XS and the Ion should sport the same 12mp camera but looking at the review they didn't like the XS camera but they liked the Ion's camera.......

I can buy it directly from Sony for $49.99 for 2 yr contract with at&t. I will pick up one this week from best buy.
