Awesome, looking forward to your views on it SK
Rikken
That's great

even GSMArena rate it better than the average LCDs from rivals e.g Z Ultra. Samsung have done a great job despite the display being pentile.

Six-way camera shootout: Smartphone roulette
GSMArena
I find it hilarious that the two Androids that set-out to be the best Cameraphones, namely the Sony Xperia Z1 and Htc One both lost to a Phablet, the Note 3, a phone that isn't even being marketed as a cameraphone

.How is it that the Note 3 and GS4 have managed to perform so incredibly in the camera dept. without this area even being a focal point for Samsung?
In all honesty I expected the Z1 to be 2nd, after ALL the hype the Sony fanboys created around its camera, it hasn't totally delivered.
Anyway, glad Samsung have once again delivered great products this year.

With the latest software the Z1 is so much better than its current form and perhaps then it would be more of a contest...when the update arrives. Anyway, how are people finding the Note 3? With the Galaxy Round(?!) are people not considering that? Regarding the Gear, I find it creepy that people will find it much easier to take secret snaps with that camera and I don't see any need for that on a watch.

Just because one doesn't market something, it doesn't mean it can't be of a high quality. (Im not directly talking about the samples from GSMArena since I havent seen them)
Great products? The Galaxy Gear is far from great. It's trying far too hard and the battery is shocking.
I for one was hoping Samsung could have given the Note 3 a more premium finish. The new back is far from premium in real life. Overall quality isn't horrible. But definitely not in the same league as the HTC Ones, Xperia Z1/Ultra and iPhones of this world. This wasn't an issue with the Note 2 at release because most high end phones were still 'plastic' then.
A small price comparison between the Note 3 and the Z Ultra, the 2 high end 'phablets' which have recently gone on sale down under..... The Note 3 is selling for approx AU$150 more than a Z Ultra. (prices official AU stock, not grey imports so I dont see them dropping too quickly. Grey imports on the other hand....)

Well taste differs. I bought the Note 3 because I found it better looking than both the Z1 and Htc One. Not to mention the features, the overall performance and support. Everyone who has tried my Note 3 find its build and looks exellent. I prefer what some people call "plastic" ( it is actually polycarbonate and is used widely in the phone and car industry feks) coz there is less problems with heating issues and reception. My father has the Z1 and it really is a dust and fingerprint collector. The main problems with the Z1, Htc One and the iPhone imo is that you can't change the backcover if it gets scratced or damaged. You can always use a cover but then the argument of glass and aluminum falls

Designquality and buildquality are two different things

Speaking of back covers, have you seen how badly an Htc One dents after one bad drop??? It's all nice for people to moan and groan about plastic on Samsungs but whats great about plastic is that it certainly doesn't dent or get scratched as badly as aluminium, which after some time looks awful.
