Doesn't anybody care that Sony phones are toooo tall and narrow? I would prefer true compact size like it was Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact.

I was worried about that too. The way reviewers were going on about the height of the phones you'd think anyone would need a ladder to reach the top of the screen.

However, in fact, the Xperia 5 is very easy to use and I think it does deserve it's Compact moniker.

Now I'm leaning towards the Xperia 1 mk2 because I want to be able to use that glorious screen.

I agree. I found Xperia 1 large at first, coming from XZ1 Compact but now actually find the tall screen very user friendly. I will upgrade to 1 II if there is a good headphone bundle on offer...

You barely notice difference between pixel 2 and 4.
At some point, hardware becomes bottleneck.
Mate 30 Pro would never have same results with old 1/2.9 from mate 10.

I dont have small hands.
But even if you put a XZ on my hand, I cant use thumb to reach notification.
Why would ppl try to do same on device that is almost 1 in taller?

Since C5 there is the 1 Hand Mode for bigger phones.
Few UI tricks to pull down notifications.
What bothers me about big phones, is the fact they can easily be half out of pocket.

21:9 phone with height of XZ2c would be very narrow.
Almost impossible to type without going to landscape mode.

Agree.

This promotional video of mark II is now 1.7M views in youtube. I can't remember the last time xperia has made that many views in youtube.

Makes me think Sony is paying for views.
AFAIR, the last time Sony paid ads in youtube was on Xperia Z1.

Good, they need to up their marketing as this is a good phone. Funny how the 3.5mm jack, introduced in the 1950's, is the most raved about feature.

I really do hope we see a good bundle. Europe seems to get good bundles before the UK does.

i feel like they should have waited for the announcement. sure, if MWC was happening then they could announce as usual. but since it was basically cancelled, they could have waited until end of march to announce. in that time they could have cleaned up a lot of the issues they must be having based on the fact that they are not giving out devices for reviewers to do hands on videos or in depth reviews of any sort. they even made the techspurt/recombu guy take his hands on review down.

i hope there are good bundles. i'm trying to compile a list of european retailers who are 1) reputable and 2) ship to the US. then i can try to figure out the best bundle for the best buck. any tips are appreciated!

I watched like more than 10 times already.
Love this promo videos.

I am glad they realized the jack costed many sales they lost.
One of the reasons HTC has gone down the hill.

People excited with the device. 😊
Tech sites disappointed with its main rival. 😏

I know they are not going to sell 40 mi yearly again, but I hope they can at least reach 6 - 7 mi.
