I haven't tested yet the camera side deeply : I still think that the three separate dedicated apps were the right path to take, but it was abandoned in order to listen (as well as for the screen) to the chorus of users who had probably never even touched an Xperia smartphone. The transitions are quite fluid (limited to the focal length between one lens and another). The AI does a great job....even if I personally won't use some of the things it allows anymore. I have a couple of questions: 1) Holding down the center button, on Android 14, the conversation with gemini opened. Now a new search bar opens that overlaps with the one on my home where I can type, record voice by pressing the microphone but not go to gemini live or live screen sharing. I can only do this by accessing the gemini application! Do I have to set something? 2): In the operator menu of my sim card I can no longer find the option "voice over lte - 4g calls"....My ims is regularly registered and active and the calls are in hd (so on lte). Isn't there an option to deactivate it?

the new form factor is not so horrible lol...if it was 4k damn.....full hd+ its one of the lowest resolution actually.

I just saw the phonearena review for the VII camera. they think it is terrible.
it baffles me that all the big review sites always give sony phone cameras such bad reviews.
are we really missing out? are we so biased cause we're sony fans? or are they the biased (paid) ones?

These are improvements compared to 1vi. Improvements throughout I can see less battery life which I suspect its because of the additional sensor behind and made display brighter/ more accurate.

In recent years there has been a media campaign denigrating the smartphone sector of Sony. On every technology site I have heard bad things about the brand and its devices: unfortunately from people who had almost never tried the smartphones of the Japanese brand. Sony has always stood out for its unique vision, now it is giving in a bit to the various criticisms made by users of other brands, who not being accustomed to niche technology, are dragging the brand, alas, towards a blanding...
