There was an immediate software update 73.0.A.2.38 - 529MB

I started up the phone with no SIM, but WiFi. Got the same software update. Mine was 508.7 MB.

@moogoo

To be honest, the finish does feel really, really durable - it feels like stone. I haven't seen any durability tests, maybe that's something to look out for.

Ah that's right! I asked you about that before. I don't remember seeing that in any of the marketing photos I saw that's why it wasn't in my mind.

Woo!!

Very happy and excited for you guys.

@Maratonmannen - is that the 3rd party case or the sony official case?

It´s the case from my post June 15 and the picture in the post is from Amazon. I received another 3rd party case later today. The look is very similar, but it fits much better.
I won´t receive the Sony official until late July.

The official case is very snug. I had a third party case on my 1 M5 and the protection wasn't good. Marks and scratches under the case.

that's good to know! definitely sounds like the official case is the way to go for maximum protection and aesthetic appeal. the same texture on the side frames sounds nice too.

Shipped Monday. Delivered to my home today.
Spigen AlignMaster is on. The case is not perfect where the power button is, you can see. But after an hour it´s not visible.
Will wait until I start the phone. Need half a day with the configuration. To much work right now.

My case, identical to yours, doesn't suffer from this defect. Maybe you need to shape it a bit, perhaps it had taken an abnormal bend.

[I got mine yesterday. They've done a good job connecting seamlessly with my old Xperia to transfer all the data across. Solid design and the textured surface feels good and grippy in the hand.

I have my SIM in the phone now, but every time I power on the phone I get a notification that I have to finish the configuration. I can´t finish it since I can´t register the phone at My Sony. Only Japan and Japanese to choose and the postal code in Japan.

The Android configuration app is possible to disable, but this pops up: "Disabling Android app configuration may affect Android and other apps so that they no longer function properly."

Guess I made the mistake to start the phone the first time with no SIM, but WiFi. It was all in Japanese. I noticed a button with an arrow down where I could change the language to Swedish.
I started the configuration, but didn´t finish it.

I may have to do a factory reset and start with the SIM in the phone.

The phone works perfect, but the notification is annoying.
