ajack,
easy, I think I emailed this to droll.
just delete the files "gmtoffset.ini" and "Daylight.ini" from c:\system\data when the "fix sync mismatch" menu is selected.
The files automatically get recreated after you do the next sync.

@anish:
This is what I recommend people who do not know what to keep for their SMan's snapshot.
1. Switch off your P800, count to ten (10), switch it back on.
2. Run SMan and keep hitting the "refresh" button till the list of apps stop growing.
3. Click the "snapshot" button.
What this does is it tells SMan that this are the basic applications the P800 uses to get the phone running, anything else is most probably software that you wanted to run and can close after you're done. So, if you flush the memory, only the default applications are kept in memory. If you want to keep additional proggys, do a flush, run the programs you want to keep in memory and do another snapshot.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

@ajack
He asked in pm to, so I already helped. Though I narrowed it down a bit to when showing hidden tasks:
Flipkeypad
Sman
System
IrSendListen
appicker
I have tried to close these (well sure sman worksto close) and they just restart and the phone still works.

@ajack
I have the Snapshot set to just Flipkeypad & SMan - gives me about 8.8MB free.
Despite having Flipclose flush & Forced endtask set, I noticed yesterday that having not switched the phone off for 24 hrs, and having used loads of apps/games etc., my free RAM actually got down to as low as 2.4MB, even when no other apps were running, *and* having flushed the memory stack.
I had to switch the phone off to allow my new London Stretmap app to work....

That is because the System uses ram to start up a file and the system has a form of code string to each and every file. Just like with windows you got explorer.exe which uses more ram for every file you start. And after a while explorer.exe uses way too much ram so either you kill the app and then start it again (only in NT, 2000, XP, 2003 server). But with this phone you need switch it off and on again.
I tried closing System and the other hidden tasks. Just gave me like 100k more memory.

@Lordmikw
A Symbian OS shortcoming then..? Or can SMan 2.0 (!!) fix this..?

I think it's symbian os shortcoming. And I don't think Sman 1.2 will fix this.
Though if droll continues adding as much as he does for every 0.1 (1.0, to 1.1 was a lot of changes) then we will probably not need symbian os when he is at 2.0

Nah but seriously, if it comes to that it will be thee best app in the P800's history. Though it's probably there already

Yeah, because sman can't see the files without qfileman.
That is, you start qfileman (File Manager) from Sman if you want.
