I think it is possible.
step 1: phone download ~500k firmware which only keep BT alive
step 2: phone erases old firmware and boot with 500k firmware - only BT works here
step 3: phone DL ~12 megs of NEW complete firmware
Operation complete. So in theory, it is possible!
