Those who never tried failed.
So I can conclude that Those who never tried, tried again.
Weird.
hmm how can you try "again" if there is no first time?

I'm not really mean, just telling you that I don't think Sweetheart will succeed in this case. Simple reason: the task would require too much work even for a professional programmer (not remotely comparable with making a sis file from the CamCoder files).
Why is the task so big? Because the CommuniCorder present on the P900's Z: drive was generated by SE for executing _exclusively_ in ROM. Normal installable applications (like the CamCoder) are generated for executing in RAM. The two forms are absolutely incompatible, due to different addressing, whose references are dispersed in the binary .app code.
Changing a ROM-application into a normal one is not the question of hexa-editing some strings in .app files. Just starting the task in a meaningful way would require a deep understanding of ARMI instructions, binary debugging, and reverse engineering in general. Saying that "I try it anyway" is a good indication of lacking all these.
I let you know this because there might be some people out there who are hesitating whether to buy a P900 or not, and their decision might depend partly on the availability of the CommuniCorder on the P800. They might need solid info on the chances.
Surely there are people as well who are used to and may be even enjoy living in (false) expectations. I can understand them - but this one here is a technical question, not like religion.
In any case, Sweetheart's intention to help people here is appreciated. He is surely an inventive and helpful guy.

i see that you are very good in programming, why don't you try to make the communicorder work on P800? You'll be a god

'coz I know how damn hard it would be and how little the chance is to succeed at all. For the real god it's different for sure

Just to let you all know that, in case the hacking doesn't go well, I've also started the ball rolling in finding a programming contact at PacketVideo, with a view to pressing them to release a P800 standalone version of their video recorder. You never know.
Any other ideas for a way forward?
