needs to get their company in the green numbers, they simply need a tad more cash to venture out in 'new' markets to them. To gain those funds, they will focus on their strength first. Seems sensible
We'll see where it all leads.

with regards to what scotsboyuk said, may I remind all of the T610, which sold well enough to make Nokia sit up and take notice, and the humble T100, a budget, low-tech phone - and the only one ever to outsell the 8210 in Asia.
Obviously, it's not just about technology alone or style alone. SE needs to be consistent in providing those features that sell phones.

SE's main problem, as I see it, is that they are a relatively small operation in terms of market share and sales, when compared with Nokia.
Nokia have a strangehold on the popular mindset when it comes to mobile phones. Who do you associate with coke? Cocal Cola or Pepsi. Who do you associate with burgers? McDonalds or Burger King. Who do you associate with mobile phones? Nokia.
The average joe in the street isn't looking for a fancy phone that will cost him half his month's wages, he wants something that he can use to phone his mates and to text on, maybe take a picture. Nokia provide this.
SE need a few more years of growth and profit before they can take the battle to Nokia. When SE are in a stronger position then we will see a greater number of phones being released by them, as well a simpler phones for the average user.

What a load of crap! The whole point of this thread is to point out that Nokia ONCE AGAIN has a phone with MORE features, and MORE technology in a phone that SE.
There is not one technology that SE have, that Nokia do not have. There IS however, many features that Nokia have, that SE do not, and probably will not have.
Nokia cater for 'high-end users' because they have many 'high end' phones. Another one is the friggen 6230 that we are discussing.

Sorry mate- other side of the country. Anyway- do you actually disagree that the 6230 has a feature combination that no other phone (including SE ones) has?
Do you actually disagree that the 6230 is a good phone?

So in the mean time while we are waiting, can dun give so much comments?. Dun even noe which month is N brand going to release. End of march? Still 1st quart rite? Sure Se is going to ans them. Who does not want a share of the market.
