hmm, i think it's the asian languages (vietnamese, etc.) that has this inconsistent font issue.
try the european language pack (if you can do away without the vietnamese characters)

i'M NOT SURE IS THIS NEW BUT i WOULD LIKE TO SHARE IT WITH YOU GUY.
I' ve just return form Thailand & to my surprice when I'm in Thailang my phone Title that use to appear the network name become my location name when I'm in Thailand. Example when I'm in my hotel the title bar appear "JB Hotel" ( the hotel name that I stay) & when I went to places of interest it appear the location that I'm in.
I'm using T39mc SW version R4A008.
I'm not sure is this new cause when I'm new Singapore the title bar alway show the network name.
Not sure is this network feature or software feature.
Can you guy from other country confirm this?
Thank

most likely, a network dependent location based service.

Certainly doesn't happen in VN.
For the hotel I presume they have a local amplifier inside the building (necessary for reception in some areas), so I guess it's not too hard to put there name out with it.

@mapqua
I don't think it's amplifier play a part cos when I'm on a long journey bus the title bar constantly changes the name of the places from to another.
I really feel that this services is fantastic, good for traveller on a "free & easy" tour at least they won't get lost.
I think its something like "GPS" system that car are using now.

just got my second replacement. and the tech from the service point told me that ericsson is acknowledging the issues with FW R4A008 and GPRS which causes the phone to reboot.
so the replacement unit uses R3B006. but when i got home, and connected to GPRS, it rebooted again!
i already "absolved" my desktops/notebooks as the one causing the problem coz i've tried it out with other PCs and it still reboots. can't anyone from

really help us with this ?

I'm on R4A008 and my T39 sometimes (perhaps less than 10% of the time) reboots when I'm connecting via datacable on a PC. It only reboots while it's connecting (when the progress bar and the "connecting" text appears on the screen). When it connects it's very stable though.
If I use Palm via IR it NEVER reboots.
I don't have an IR adapter on my PC so I can't say if it's stable with that kind of connection.
How often does your phone reboot while on GPRS?

with the first replacement, the average time before reboot is 15-20 minutes. the service point people have been able to witness this the last time i brought the phone back.
i used to have no problems whatsover with IR, but about a week ago while surfing from the palm, the phone rebooted.

my t39m just reboots after 20-30minutes even if i'm not using wap or gprs. had this problem since saturday. so if i have my phone re-flashed with the same software (R4A008), will this solve this problem or is this problem hardware related? thanks
