can any1 help? I managed to successfully change the font on my p9, which lasted well for days, then all of a sudden while deleting certain files, (not freetype or the font that i was using) the list of fonts available disapeared. I have looked on the phone the fonts are still on the d drive, along with freetype i have turned my phone on and off several times any ideas other than re installling all the programs again?

Hi all,
I have tryed many different fonts now and i really like "Nina" (bold) and have used it for a quite long time (small version). But yesterday i replaced it whit the default one and oops my P9 was suddenly at least twice as fast as before.
Now i wonder if there is someone that use a small font that looks good? any suggestion?

sfaguy: my mistake - i wrongly assumed from whoever mentioned chinese fonts earlier, that nina contained chinese characters. However, looking through the original nina, it's never contained chinese characters - i just removed Greek and Spanish and other whatnots. Chinese never was there, and won't ever be. Sorry mate. If you find a nice chinese font, maybe we can play with it a little to fit it better for px00.
To any others - of course, using any non default font will take up internal memory and processing power.
If the font is 100k, you'll have 100k less working memory to load apps. That will always be the case.
Also, using true type fonts will, i guess, use processing power, and anti aliasing even more, slowing down screen updates etc. but it really comes down to what you want, speed and swiss, or nice and nina!
I've just got back from holiday, and had some fun playing with p900.
I realised that using sman to enable the p800 theme, use swiss default font, disable extraneous startup programs, and disabling the jot input method, i can get over 8mb of working memory, which seems ample for most progs. Using nina then hardly makes a dent, and you lose no functionality.
I'm gonna try and unbrand and see what more damage i can do!

any1 here notice that if u select any font size equal or less than 12 points, of any ttf font, would cause the flipclosed background image to be "shrunk" slightly leaving a horizontal "white" line between the bottom of the background image and the bottom status bar?

I really like Monotype Corsive, yet it is only normal, doesn't have bold

not an easy way as far as i know, since every font has to be manually redesigned.
Try using a font viewer - there's a lot of info embedded in the font, eg font family, author etc -i'm sure you'll be able to find out who designed the font, then you should be able to track down the bold version..
