Oooh, a thread resurrection!

In another fit of impulsiveness I've just bought a cheap secondhand N-Gage off Ebay for £40, it should arrive tomorrow. imo it's the cheapest way to get a symbian phone, and I do rather like Nokia's Series 60 platform after trying it on a 7650!

Actually, whilst this thread's resurrected, just a couple of quick questions -

Firstly, I have one of those Nokia unlocking programmes, and the Ngage will most probably be locked to Vodafone. I know the Ngage is a DCT4, but there are a couple of subtypes, ASICs I think they're called - 2, 5, and 7. Which one is the Ngage?

As it's a Vodafone one I'm getting - does the Ngage have Vodafone branding on it - i.e. have I just bought one with those nasty blue and red menus?

The 3650 has that terrible keypad layout, and I think the 3660 are still quite pricey!

Yep, got the Ngage now, and have been using it for the last few weeks! It has Symbian OS on it, version 6.1 I think. It will do pretty much anything that the more expensive Symbian Nokia phones like the 3660, et al can do, except of course take pictures!

Surprisingly pleased with it, although the 'side talking' is a bit uncomfortable and you look a right tit speaking sideways into a phone!

I'm not sure to be honest, you'd probably need a data cable or something though.

Unfortunately it didn't come with a manual, so I can't look these things up!
