They´re both battery powered..
IMO they are pretty equal on paper, both have their bright points and both have their downsides.
Having owned the K700i and tested the S65 i must say that SE wins this one! The T68i VS S55 was the other way around though, but i don´t think Siemens has upped their ante enough for the successor.

I'd have to agree with TreeX
Its not as if the S65 is a bad phone - not at all - they are just different. Both have their ups and downs - and as such it depends on which are most important to every single user. To me - the S65 is a good phone - but the K700 wins overall because of its more fullpacked features. K700 does almost everything and does it very good - only limited by lack of memoryslot. This lack only limits how much of a good thing you can do - but it wont actually limit the ability to do them. You only have to deside if you want 40mb videos today or 40mb audio today or 40 mb games today and then switch content on the phone. The S65 on the other hand are limited in features rather than memory - and as such the memoryslot aint gonna help. No matter how much extra memory you put in that slot - it still wont play radio, or mp3/mp4 audio, or mp4/AAC videos, or games (from expandable memory) or videos (from expandable memory) etc.
From my point of view the memoryslot of the S65 actually limits the phone instead of helping it - because you need to move items to the internal memory for them to perfom the best - and the internal memory is limited to 11mb where the K700 has 41mb
To me thats the key difference which is more important than the difference between the VGA cam of the K700 and the 1.3mp cam in the S65. Ill forgive the S65 for taken poor pictures under poor conditions - because this is also the fact about K700 - and if one looks at the cost of S65 we cant expect the same quality of camerachip as in S700 for instance.

you know guys, the k700i really is a good phone but then it has some limitations, expandable memory for one. i guess the best recourse is to forego both phones(k700i and s65) and get the s700! my friend just got one and it whips both their butts! not just the camera and display, but all around performance. it's like what the first generation p800 was lacking
but then again my t68i still tops them all!

@miss uk
what's your beef with the t68i?

i personally think it's a fab device. i've had it since 2002 and have endured all but the smartest smartphones out there.

ThreeX,
The camera to this S65 is nothing but terrible so it wont help to put any slicks because it performs badly in all condition.
It feels more lika driving a car on its rims

Yes the k700i does have its limitations when it comes to memory expansion!
but i feel positive

will rectify this with the k710
