It sounds like you did everything correctly (you used the correct files, etc). You could have lost your connection to the server, or you might have a faulty T28 cable.
When you have a problem with the server you need to take a screenshot and send it to the vendor you bought the credit from. They should then reimburse your account and let you flash it again.
Actually I realised I did something differently.. I disconnected the cable after flashing the decustom firmware... then removed the battery, back on and flash the other files. Could it be that?

Hey! I did it.. finally managed to unbrand the phone.
I just found out something unexpected.. where have the icons in the standby screen gone? In the orange software there was an icon for the phonebook, another one for the messages and the third for orange. In the unbranded firmware those are gone. Any hints? I found those quite useful.

The problem was that i removed the cable after uploading the Descustomization firmware. I did it again the right way this time and it worked.
There is some funny stuff like there is only English T9 available. I uploaded the EU1 language cos I wanted spanish T9, but I only have English

whats wrong?
also, i found out that orange added the "homescreen" navigation system, which i liked.. :@ now its gone.. i regret having unbranded my phone now...

Apology for my ignorance....
But I'm in Aus Sydney is it possible to get it done?
Probably a silly question.
I guess using the "INTERNET" it can be done anywhere right?
But the firmware I saw on post are from England???
Anyway thx for the info.
This is like Christmas came early if I can get rid of the vodafone crap!

Yes, after you decustomize your phone with MultiServer you ONLY have English T9. There is a way to restore T9 for all languages in the language pack, but it is not public (and not MultiServer based).
