Hii sorry if you guys have seen the queries on another forum but haven't had much joy elsewhere, but..
1) With any "flip open to answer" ( or whatever it's called) set to yes... How do I reject a call without opening the flip( and thus answering the call)
2) How do I delete " Voicemail" from speedail setting number 1 ( not just the number, but the " dialing voicemail" llegend.
3) When in a call, with call waiting switched on - how do I easily cut the first caller off and accept the second caller? - and how do I put the first caller on hold and take the second caller?
4) is the charge from the usb via my pc as quick as from the mains?
5) How can I get my phone to play " hello Moto" when turning it on, WITHOUT changing my themes, and other ring tones, alerts etc?
6) what is quick dial used for? it seems to only have 3 possible entries, and only stores tel numbers not names ?
7) Is it possible to create a short cut to "phone book categories" ? might be nice with 1 or 2 button pushes to be able to change the phone book search list.

If I'm using the speed dial, and a text message comes in, the speed dial fails, and display reads " call failed" - is this normal
tia...

As a quad band phone - it would be interesting to know how smoothly it switches between 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz? Especially in Saint Kitts and Nevis, were all 4 frequencies are in use.

Hi guys just to let you know DONT plug a SPV or Motorola MPX charger into your V3. Even though it is the mini usb and looks the same it will fry your battery....as my freind found out yesterday! I told him not to! lol

you mean this in the pic (that you can't see 'coz you're on wap

)
I assumed it was a light sensor to adjust the brightness of the display but I don't see mention of it in the PDF manual

Well, covering it with your finger doesnīt have any visible effect. I donīt have any suggestions of my own though, unless itīs related to the camera.

doh' I should have thought of at least testing if it was what I thought it was
anyway... I just called Motorola out of curiosity and was told that it is there for use during the manufacturing process to hold the phone so that it doesn't get scratched

Well, so much for our advanced theories then..
Reminds me of a radio program i heard once where they asked: Do you know the reason why the holes on golf courses are exactly *** (donīt remember the diameter, but whatever) And when sitting there thinking like, well it must be something about 3x the diameter of the ball or something.. He said: Well, itīs because that happened to be the diameter of the sawed of pipe with a T-handle the first golf course owner used to make the holes, which then became standard

hadn't heard that.
here is a link to something about that
(but lets not get too off topic)
btw, there is another similar sized hole at the bottom of the keypad but it doesn't appear to be covered with plastic but there is still no mention of it in the manual so perhaps its for the same reason
