@ man - Yeah . . . in Norway/sweden and Switzerland it does happen, as I am seeing those in calendars here around when I was still small . . . so I presume that it's 'dark' during daytime then

@fatreg - no mate, the church is in Andover Hants.

@jojo - It was a bright evening, although the sky wasn't blue at all. I was also amazed at how light it looked, if I hadn't of taken it myself I would have thought it was taken midday. The Sun is setting around 930pm at the mo.

It's light till quite late at the moment bud, especially when you consider it getting dark in the winter as early as 430pm

The chopper's blade wasn't rotating because it was just going to fall out of the sky dude Seriously though I just had a fairly quick shutter speed that enabled me to capture the blade the way it did.
Incidently, both pictures were taken at the Milton Keynes National Bowl. I had taken the wife and kids to see Take That.
