Both very nice phones in their day, I think the T68 retailed in NZ for the equivalent of GBP 500!

However, from a carkit installers point of view, both were dreadful. The T68 has no external antenna connector on it like the other phones so I contantly had to explain this to disappointed customers and the 6310 and i had a carkit echo problem which stemmed from buggy software. There was a code you could punch in to reset the duplex settings but it kept needing to be reset. One of my customers threatened to take Voda NZ to court - his company had about 20 6310i's and Carkit91's...

Just decided to refresh this thread. My T68i is still in use and doing good. I bought it 2002 (31. May) and used as a primary phone until 2007 (30. April). Then it retired for a less than 6 months and then joined again the active duty. Since then it's working constantly with quite a heavy use with another sim.
So, 7 years and and 3 months for now

I've often though about getting a T68 or a P800 for novelty value... just the other day I saw a pristine fully functioning P800 boxed with all the accessories for the equivalent of 15 pounds GB - worth it do you think?

@Masseur
If you still have the T68m and one day want to sell it, PM me.

I still have my original T68m and T68i and its most unlikely I will ever sell those as they, for me, were the beginning of "modern" mobile phones with colour and joystick etc

Its also largely what brought me here

My old T68m (with "i" firmware) is still in occasional use by my mum, who makes a call on it maybe once a year. It still seems to work just fine, and does everything she needs, and probably many other things she doesn't for that matter! Good phone, Ericsson's last and SE's first if I remember rightly.

My mum still uses a T68i as her main phone. Battery still lasts well. I also have a T68m but rarely use it.

I'd still use it if someone didn't break into my house and steal it after 3 years of flawless service I miss my T68i - MCA-10 Communicam combo. Had a lot of memories with the duo, captured my whole honeymoon with them (i know, not a good idea lol)
