hi as far as i know the carphonewarehouse are still having a end of may release, the day o2 got it in store (i.e yesterday) i called over to talk to them about it and they were completely clueless to any sort of timescale. I also had a great time in rubbing it into the guy who had just bought himself a nokia 6230i a while ago and he was completely raging when he heard about the specs and good points of the k750i. I just rang my local CPW and they too didn't have a clue as to when it would be out. Also rang the Link and they said it is still in Network test.
O2 website still shows it as coming soon!

how easy is it, to transfer music and video files from the computer to the k750i and vice versa, can it be done easily, though the usb cable supplied? i was going to get the phone yesterday on o2 contract, but considering i have 2 orange contracts at the moment, one which i can upgrade next week, i might just leave it,n get it on pay as you go, for those on orange,i have called orange and they said it should be coming soon, since they just got training on the k750 phone the other day. But I am hoping to get it on pay as you go. currently i have the samsung d500 hopefully i'l sell that for £150 and add extra money towards the k750, k750 shouldn't be more than £300 right? on pay as you go?

yes, you can install the file manager separately or install it with the pc suite and once installed you get a windows explorer style view of the folders on the K750 for easy drag and drop between the phone and pc
the memory stick contents are visible directly in windows explorer as a separate drive letter
whats more the transfer is done at true USB speeds and so is very quick

That new activity menu thing is very interesting, turned my message alert back to the standard one thou cause i prefer that - is that the replacment for the right side button, which on mine now only reads menu and i don't think can be altered?

ok thanks for telling me that info. i tried out the phone in o2 shop yesterday and was glad that moving between the diff icons in the menu was fast, since last phone i had was k700 i had sold it, but one of the main probs was that it was slow in moving around menus, whats the battery life like people ? and how is it like holding the phone against ur ear, for a long period, since i remember with the k700 i always used to get a sore ear, like it kinda jabbed into my ear the phone.hope its comortable with the k750

Once all the drivers are installed and the connection set up (there's an amazing variety of drivers installed even under Windows XP) the Memory Stick appears as removable storage under My Computer and files can simply be copied across.
