Hey, why not try calling them. Their helpdesk is quite friendly at least in Singapore. But the helpdesk over at Singapore seems not very knowledgeable. Ask him the way to check the firmware of the phone and he answered that there's no way to do it except to go to the service centre to check!
...But still can call them to check with them. Think I'll call to to check when I'm free.

I would hardly call a drop in video bitrate, from being able to record at 190kbit/s to a totally unacceptable 68kbit/s a firmware update that enhances the general performance of the phone.
Believe me, it can.
A high bitrate might cause the phone to be unstable, whether it may occur during video usage or afterwards. There may be a memory leak, a race condition that may cause the phone to hang, or some issues that may be related to the design of the old firmware that necessitates bringing down the quality a bit in the later versions of the firmware.
Nevertheless, this CAN be fixed.

Found out from a video recording on a SE P910i having a bitrate of 128Kb. No reason for the newer K750 to operate at lower birate than the SE 910i for video.

And do you guys know what annoys me even more about what SE have done ? i read the review of the Samsung D600 yesterday - have you seen the quality of its video !?
Take a look:

D600 review:

Now

tell me exactly
WHY my K750i records such poorer, smaller video. Stability my bumhole.

ive seen those vids from the d600 too.. awesome!
if only we had that kinda video on the k750...
we certainly have the better camera (d600 pics looks nasty) so y is the video so bad?
makes me wonder if its a software thing

I think its just SE being tight and having buggy software.

D600 records in 352x288, 20fps, 550kbit/s video and 64kbit/s AAC audio. Thats a total bitrate of 620kbit/s !!!
K750 maxes out on approx 215kbit/s 15fps playback in 176x144 and only records in 176x144, 9fps, 80kbit/s video and 12kbit/s AMR audio.
Thats poor S//E !
Truly makes me wonder where the D600 get the cpu power to do this with just a 104mhz ARM9TDMI cpu

@numb
Yeah, I have seen recordings from D600 and they are AMAZING! I cant see why K750i shouldnt be able to do that.. at least close to it. I hope the guys at SE knows this too, and do something about it.

The fact SE have screwed us with the K750i's video recording is bad enough, but couple that with the fact Samsung have a phone with video as good as that just rubs salt into the wound.
Im losing faith in SE rather quickly.
