@Dogmann; Yup I am sure a new firmware would be out before Oct2007 but many is anxiously waiting and waiting. This P990 seems to spell "wait". A month back I manage to rid off the 990 and the lastest promo now is at the same price when I got rid off it "phew!!!" plus some freebies like screen protector, 512 card and pouch. And its tempting me back. So I too would finally decide when the new firmware comes out or N95 comes first. Maybe Santa will bring the new and stable firmware for 990i

Look at P990 discussion its more than 6100 posts which shows how long ppl waited for 990i and how much problems it is having

so, better change the phone asap. it's getting frustating using this phone. what smart phone cant even open quickword and keep say not enough memory. even my old old old phone nokia 6600 can do it in no time. how bout that? it keep me worry enough that next fw will fix this, cause with 12mb free ram was not enough. anybody can edit quick office and the phone not restarted?

Ok, just got some info from a guy with connections on SE Germany and i can say the firmware on the screenshot is the real deal, and almost certainly will be launched next week, has predicted. Also, some others already got the same info from SE Russia, etc
@bytes, i, and others has you can read here at esato, have stable firmware since September - by stable i mean i can use it withou problems and it doesn´t crash, but that does not mean it is perfect...now i´m waiting for a improved version, with decent memory management and updates to main apps
