No way SE will upgrade the OS afterwards. Just look at their past behavior and you'll see the kind of support you can expect from SE.

Xepria will be released with wm6.1. By the time xperia is released there will be no new handset being released with WM6.

It is and if you go to youtube, many of the Sony Ericsson ppl showed us that - or rather, they showed it in a way that seemed like the phone had an accelerometer.

@clauf

Well the Video that i saw the demonstrator clearly explained it was achieved by opening the phone in either Landscape or portrait or by pushing the button, i didn't see anyone claim it had an accelerometer

white paper states it has auto-rotate UI.
not sure if its your typical accelerometer though!

A few reporters (off of some phone site) as well as a few forumers have thought there was an accelerometer and my reaction was like: -_-"

Just to make things clear =)

But I do wish there was one - sadly that wouldn't be the case. I think it's because of Windows Mobile.

supposedly, when the OS is finished and stable, the X1 is supposed to use the front camera to detect movement, hand gestures, light and dark situations etc.

Sorry, i cant remember now where i read, or watched that clip, but it sticks in my mind.

So, unless WM6.1 was incomplete on the protos at GSM, i think we will see a later version of WM.

I dont recall any reps mentioning accelerometers, either. I would say no to that one.
