Hi there ...

Interesting fact with regards to the C905c (China Version)

1. No DLNA
2. No Wi-fi
3. No 3G/HSDPA

Kinda sucks to be livin in China rite about now ...

I wonder are these errors or actual emissions from the chinese version.

Well whatever have a look at the new white-paper released by SE for the chinese version only on their developer website.

Ciao.

To my best knowledeg, there are no 3G available at all in china. They seem to be more eager to introduce their own 3G standard (td-scdma) than depend on foreign technology (wcdma). When the Chinese will have 3G and in what form nobody knows today.

As far as WIFI concerns, considering their political system I'm not actually sure how common WIFI actually is or if it is allowed at all (the government seem to have hard control how people use internet).

For DLNA I would guess WIFI is required in this specific instance and since there is no WIFI available, no DLNA is needed either.

I don't understand why SE haven't plastered it over their website like they did with the xperia and now the w902. Doesn't make sense

The odd thing is, the C905 isn't slated for a US releaase. Though there is a version meant to be used on US frequencies, their lineup doesn't include sale on american soil.

This might prove to be a difficult find when released as most online phone shops sell the "i" version. I'd like to pick up the 'a' version because of compatibility with US 3G.

I believe SE buy the camera from Samsung (who design it for their Innov8). The thing is,Samsung will release it initially in a module without a xenon flash, which means SE must reprogram the firmware, otherwise the pictures will be over exposed. Looking back at the k850i,I wonder how many fw upgrades will they need until the (night/flash) pic quality will be up to scratch

SE gives Eldar C902 and C905 prototype that has a cam from Samsung to be tested, you're right.

But SE changed it. C902 finally using Sony cam module. Just look C902 final sample pic by many people around there (especially posted from plankgatan that has a new firmware).

The pics behaviour totally different from C902 prototype's sample pic.

And then C905... Do you remember C905 sample pics in a car park in Mizzle's USEB? Sharp but too many noise and washing-out color? Thats Samsung. Old C905 prototype has 8.1 MP printed in the side of the phone.

Then 3 days later on 17 june announcement, the new prototype has 8 MP printed. And did you saw the new sample pics from this proto on mobileburn and mobile.cz?

Totally different pics! Good colors with low noise! That's not only because a different firmware. The cam module is different! Could be Sony or the other Samsung camera module though. SE would not be so stupid!

Hey there,

The C905 has a sony sensor and not samsung. As it has been designed by Sony. Intially they were going with samsung but when the sony sensor and optics were done they changed.

The old prototypes had 8 megapixels carved on the side and not 8.1. The new prototypes and the retail version will have 8.1 megapixels carved in on the sides. As with regards to the official pics as well it is written 8.1

As now sony would be designing the sensor and optics for all high-end cyber shot fones.

As well for the U.S. they would receive the a version as there are 3 versions being released a, i & c. So rest assured for the people in the U.S. they would be receiving the a version and not the i version.

Ciao.
