I cannot recall where the exact link is on youtube, but someone posted the Xperia S with the back cover off, and quickly pried off the "sealed" battery cover to show an SE/Sony standard battery - one's we're all VERY accustomed to. Not sure if the torx-screws needed to come off or if this was a hoax but was VERY surprised. This has me questioning if MicroSD slot actually exists.
EDIT: I think I found it. Screws where removed.

I wish you good luck with that, the Xperia S is very good phone for me it is perfect i know what you dealing with it.
I hope your phone get strong battery life after days, just rain the battery until empty and than put on for at least 5 a 6 hours and then drain it until the phone get off and loading for a another 5 a 6 hours and than check it out if it helped that way
I will do that. Xperia S is brilliant.

I got my XP S with HK software on it and yesterday flashed the generic UK software on it and the battery life went down the drain. It drains like crazy.
It might be a software issue with your phone.

Today for the first time I feel it settled itself.
I can't recall anything what could cause such a problem.
I will see how it will behave this night on idle.

Just cancelled my order with Clove, and purchased it sim-free from Phones4U instead just moments ago. For anyone who has ordered with Clove they are expecting stock tommorrow.
Will not get to play around with it till later this evening. I post my thoughts later on tonight.

Some shots. The weather in Poland is bad now so it's hard to make any nice shot.
What I observe is that colours are less "pumped" than on Arc,
what at the first sight seems more dull, but than on close up you see much more detail.
And less distortion on edges.
For me quite different cameras.

How long should I charge the battery for the first time? with the fact that some users are reporting the battery to be quite poor.

Is that after you drained the battery compleatly and then charge it for more than 6hours? If yes, try that once again, and you`ll have full capacity as I sad.
Enjoy your new phone!
PS: I like the clouds on your last pic, they are hard job for any phone camera.

I recomend full drain and when the phone is turned down by itself charging it for 6 - 8hours, than once again full discharge and another 6 - 8h charging cycle. It works for me extreamly well - doubled the battery life.

Still it's strange it works like that.
Anyway I just came to 1% and charged this for about 6 hours.
We'll see.
