but if you look at the spec closely, XA is actually faster than L1
if L1 will get 8.0 as what it said, i think XA could get it as well
since L1 is Quad-Core 1.45GHz A53
while XA is Octa-Core 4×2.0GHz A53 + 4x1.0GHz A53

No cpu incompatibilities like 800/801

just forget old mid range Xperia
old Xperia, like Xperia Z and Z1 are legend, because they are flagship
Z from 4.1,4.2,4.3,4.4,5.0,5.1
Z1 from 4.2,4.3,4.4,5.0,5.1
and it is now X series, and XA not over 18months yet, i would really want to see all X series could go to 8.0 as milestone, like revolutionary change for Sony Mobile

Then one day, Z3+ shows up 25% off.... Z5 was twice the price..

Sony flagships take 1 year to lose 50% intial price.. Except Z5P ( costs more than XZ).

I do not want high screen/body.
Dual sim flagships no longer arrive here.
Only X, XA phones and L1..

sadly, i have to say, the coming flagship, it is still metal back like XZ and XZs and still have camera bump
and Dual sim still literally here, but shared with microSD

It is not about device can perform in new OS version, it has variety of factors to determine.
Especially, Chipset maker is require to provide essential drivers for new OS as a key resources.

Got it after my Motorola V30 got stolen.
Only thing I did not like about it was no jack.
Earphone uses power connector on the right side.
Same place magnetic connector of Z3 is ...
Original earphone got broken, new one was expensive.
Had to use a generic one.

If it has size of XZs but bigger battery it must be a bit thicker.

Hybrid slot is but, but csn handle it...
But is not even available here...
No choice but waiting XA2 Ultra , if it is not 21:9
Things getteing hard..
If I buy on ebay, phone takes 50 days to be delivered to me ( customhouse burocracy which includes taxes)
