i just realised one thing, Pretoria is a very pretty city late afternoons. the problem is finding places to get pictures. the (excuse of a) mountain catches the sun nicely late afternoons this time of year. just finding that spot to take pictures...wish i could show it! pretty sunsets every night.

@HOBBS
I envy you Bro.That's a really cool phone you got there.ENJOY & welcome to UlQ.Before you buy the memory card just double check.I think it's not a SD card you should get. It's a Memory Stick Duo Pro.

Just make sure you have the latest firmware version (feb) installed to save disappointment later on. Is the camera better then the N73's? Is a pity it does not support EDGE

You chaps better hold fingers crossed for me. We have a paragliding comp. today and if I don't make it in the top 3 my wife won't agree to buy me a new glider.(she is financing 1/3) Last time I come in last. Today we will only be 7 or 8 pilots. My problem is - I don't perform well under pressure, even more so if I regard the task at hand as a hobby which usually helps me relax.

Good luck Mario. At least come second last this time.Dont know about the camera been better than N73.Havent played around much with it.Been scrounging around on the internet like a dog on this thing looking for freebie apps but hey suprise suprise, you just cant find them. The ones you do find are just crap.Im lucky enough to have 3G coverage pretty much all the time in my flat and at work.Vodacom are pretty covered in that regard. So Im not missing Edge that much but it would have been nice..Im going to hold out on firmware updates for the meantime.Like they say, dont fix something if it isnt broken. And yes you correct,Memory Stick Pro Duo it is not SD.Thanks for that correction dude.Going to go price some Memory Sticks today.Looking for a 2GB.That should be ample for my music.Wanna get a 4Gig but too scared to know what its goņa cost me.Later.

do have a look on bidorbuy.co.za too bro, you may find one at a competitive price.
@Mario, best of luck there bro, aim for the top spot and don't forget to hold your head high no matter which position you end up in. With any luck and favourable winds you'll end up saving yourself a third of the cost of a new glider

but if all else fails wine and dine her

it may just do the trick
ps It's St.Patrick's day today, so maybe stick a 4leaf clover in your pocket before liftoff

and may the luck of the Oirish be with ya.

Paragliding as a hobby.Thats a very cool hobby dude.Maybe you should double harness with your girlfriend on the off chance she will get absolutely suprisingly hooked and then say you quiting and the only thing that might get you back into it is if she buys the two of you a paraglider each.Something you can do together to become closer.God Im talking crap.I think I need a good nap to clear my head.

Off topic, this was posted on the Beeb's 606 cricket forum, referring to Gibbs's heroics yesterday:
"Quick! Search for some English ancestry. After today's dismal batting performance we could do with a big-hitter in the England side. "
LOL.. Ireland, The Netherlands and of course England all have SA ex-pats in them.
And yes, St. Patrick's Day it is; I wonder how much Guiness is going to be consumed in Irish hot-spots around the world today...
Whenever I think of St. Patrick's Day parades, I inevitably think of the Irish-American group 'House Of Pain's 'Jump!' music video...
The traditional Irish greeting is 'Top of the morning to you', which should elicit the response , 'And the rest of the day to yourself.'
Also, the Irish call suppertime 'tea'.
Just some pretty useless info in such a forum I guess, but anyway...
