I and Lauris have found a way to update to 037 and will only tell how to in pm basis and also report any improvement if any.

Hi!
My firmware is R1FA035, the latest one. Few days ago it had BROD. Also, earlier it was restarting. This is all well known things for k850i, but i'm interested in modifications that will prevent restarts. After BROD, i left my k850 to service center to get it fixed,repaired...so they put in new fw, and script (i don't know what that mean, script). So now, i don't have any of restarts. Works perfect! But also, just in case, i take out M2 memory card and turn off accelerometer. So now my battery last for 4 days, early 2 days max.
So, what else could be causing restarts. I counted as possible cusses M2 memory card, and accelerometer. What is with heap memory, i read some about it. When goes low, it restarts. Is shutting down and turning it again good way to clear heap memory (every few days)? What is heap memory and how it is working in k850i? Also, I have no games, just 5 themes and use always just one, the same. No pictures inside and when I take 20 pictures - send it to computer to free memory again. (33MB free memory total). M2 card is near me in my wallet always. So I easy put it in (and there is music, pictures etc.)
Is master reset helping to stop restarting - what does master reset do?

So, I wrote a lot but to conclude: What are tips and tricks to prevent k850i to restart it self? Take out M2,turn off accelerometer, delete everything from phones memory,maybe restart it manually here an there.... And what else is there....!?

sry.. how to turn the accelerometer off? i dont really need it, if it can save standby hours i wan to turn if off.

I don't know if it is saving battery - but i turn it off because i don't need it. And it could be responsible for restarting...so go to multimedia and settings, and there set to Portret for example. Do not put it to Automate rotation (when rotate your phone for 90° it changes to landscape or portret) - so you have to manualy set landscape or portret. And in Camera mode also find automate rotation, in settings - i belive it is needed also to turn off.

They told me that they send that petition to official/main Sony Ericsson ...
So little bit more chance that new firmware for k850 will be released ...

I dont tink dis is a bad phone, I have it for more then an year, end is working prefectly, early firmawire was bugy, not now

2) "I dont tink dis is a bad phone " ??? hundreds of peoples saying that this phone is bad/compared to it's first price... . Brods , restarts , slow media menu , other hardware isues such as like lens cover stucking
