It's common for codenames from the same series of phones to have code-names along the same theme. We've had western girls names, Japanese girls names, fruit, gods, there is a range of handsets over the years have had female pop-star names and now hot springs for 2013 (even Huashan, which is Chinese, has a popular spring resort on the mountain side).
I don't think we can read too much into codenames, they're usually fairly random with only a general theme linking them to each other.

@randomuser - even though i'm not interested in Togari, that's great news!! i would assume, since Honami is coming AFTER togari, that the same will hold true for Honami?
super excited to see the revamped interface. Wouldn't it be hilarious if the sony skin looked similar to ios7? then again, with a bit of time, and the right apps/launchers, you could make any android phone look like ios7.
that Halo thing is pretty neat. a "small apps" implementation in a different way, which is nice. I like that it can access any app and there doesn't have to be a special "small app". I'll wait for it to be official and i'll probably use it.
