And then C905... Do you remember C905 sample pics in a car park in Mizzle's USEB? Sharp but too many noise and washing-out color? Thats Samsung. Old C905 prototype has 8.1 MP printed in the side of the phone.
Then 3 days later on 17 june announcement, the new prototype has 8 MP printed. And did you saw the new sample pics from this proto on mobileburn and mobile.cz?
Totally different pics! Good colors with low noise! That's not only because a different firmware. The cam module is different! Could be Sony or the other Samsung camera module though. SE would not be so stupid!

Now that makes sense, since the hardware level purple fringing buggling out early C905 proto's (Q440i) samples were simply unfixable by software post processing. although it doesn't mean that C905 has a sony module in it. there isn't any 8mp cmos module produced by sony yet or have they developed already?

Now I think that timeframe is really crucial. Samsung INNOV8 will make its debut sooner. Nokia to announce a 8MP cameraphone and it will be released one week aftermath (according to the rumour I heard of). LG seems to be preparing KCxxx, 8MP too. Forget about Moto, they're struggling hard on Alexander. The next battle in imaging starts next month.
Releasing C905 on Oct is not a bad ide at all, but earlier arrival would be advantageous for Sony Ericsson. I hope it does not come with tons of bugs.

Wow, Sony make a 8mp camera module for cellphones?!?! Can anyone confirm that? Why on earth should they (se) design a cybershot cell around Samsung's camera module and then take only a few weeks to design their own module and redesign the cell? hmmm . . . i smell a rat. I am asking once again, does Sony really have a 8mp camera module for cellphones. The internet does not know anything about that and neighter does sony

Ask/email them

Hahaha are you serious? It didn't take them a few weeks, it was probably in development for well over a year. It was just two weeks in between us seeing the Samsung module's results and the Sony's. I'm pretty sure the C905 has a Sony module and trustworthy members will confirm that.
@alex_on and mario2004, take a look at the table half way down this page:

@Muhammad As much as I would like to believe I can't. That site is a moth old and it does not specifically talk about the sensor. A month ago few reporters/fans knew, SE will use Samsung's sensor in its flagship. A 8mp sensor/module for a cellphone is a very hi-tech thingy, you don't get many of them around and usually companies who eventually makes/develops them 'scream' all over the net - look look how good we are

I am still waiting for sony/se to amounce theirs.

@mario-You have no idea as to what you are saying, neither do you have any proof as to the sensors used in the phones. After Eldar was exposed by Smape, neither does he have any credibility to what he says. He is just a man, blind in revenge and wants to take down SE. So, unless someone else confirms the fact, I will go with the list. SE can easily use the sensors made by SEJ. The phone itself resembles a japanese make.
