I use it in a sense that it does the same to your personal information, which then allows google to make money off of you by selling that indexed data to advertisers. Its a "human behavior malware" ...

Android is nothing more than a advertising distributing platform, with data mining capabilities, and I stay away from it.
Also, the fact that it needs VM to run its applications is really annoying to me..
Actually you are conveniently leaving one part out (just to prove a point?): malware is used to gain control without the user consent where on Android you can opt out from having your personal data used for ads. Also i am not sure if you used IOS (but i do know that you have been praising it in the past) before but it actually works the same way- your data is used to generate ads and you can opt out of that as well- does that mean that IOS is malware as well?
As far as virtual machine is concerned- i see your point even though with the cpu's being so powerful these days i doubt it makes a difference from a user point of view (evreything certainly runs faster than on Symbian etc) but android 4.4 has introduced ART which precompiles the code then the app is installed so that the app doesn't have to run in a virtual machine......

I haven't gone back to Android just for a banking app. The WP platform has not improved or changed enough. You can't even upload photos on IE10 and it never saves passwords etc. I could go on about all the features still inadequate on WP but I'm at work now and can't be arsed to write them all.

The FACT of the matter is this - It's all about preference, if you're too good to use mobile banking pages via web and MUST have a glitzy "App for that" , thats fine by me and I'll never fault a user for their choice... BUT enough of this crap already! When you can INTELLIGENTLY present to me

OMG, the world is going to END because I actually have to log on to my bank via the webpage!!! boo-hooo-hooo.... some people (maybe its just me) couldn't give a crap less about apps or processor speed and I don't fault those who don't care about image quality. JUST PLEASE STOP trying to put something/someone down because it doesn't meet YOUR needs. HOLY CRAP - GROW UP already. You (general term / not directed at any individual) will NEVER convince me to buy an android/ios device based on the current arguments just as I would never suspect you'll put down your device for an imagining phone with IQ beyond your desire or understanding.
Is a Toyota prius better than a 1967 A/C Shelby Cobra 427 just because it has fancy computer and the latest Li Battery technology.... Sure to some - ABSOLUTELY - Me, Ill take the Cobra EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK.... but I guess Im just a lame symbian user.... OH WELL

i personally respect the users choice- if you are happy with 808 is fine. But you have been presented already with a list of plenty of tasks that Nokia 808 can't do so i am not too sure what you are on about

Now just to clarify- this is something that i peronally find useful (use very often) but i understand it might not be useful to other people:
1) get up to date live traffic report . I live in London and i can easily find when the next bus/tube is coming in the train station nearest to me or how to get anywhere fro my current location
2) like i said before nba tv/sky go/ virgin tv/sun plus to watch live games/ highlights from premier league
3) pingit app to send people money instantly (for people registered you only need their mobile phone number). and no using paypal is not the same at all
4) connect the phone to ps controller and play the game on the TV
5) photo editing (as in paste 2 photos next to each other, cut a part of one and paste it on top of the other one etc)
6) high definition games not available for Nokia 808 (it wouldn't even be able to play them plus there is no more app store fro Nokia)
7) various apps that you would say look the same as the mobile site actually send you push notifications (eurosport is one of them)
8 ) sync with tablet /pc in terms of web browser and also photos/all media with the tablet
9 ) the web browsing experience is not even close
10) seamless sync of my contacts between pc and the phone
11) deep integration of facebook (lumia 1020 has it but not 808)
12) Google Now- plenty of useful features i.e. fav teams scores, flight times, etc
i am sure i can find out more if you want but i am at work at the moment so i need to rush this

But how many people choose to opt out of that ? Very few, and that's what they count on. You can choose to believe whatever your heart desires..
