You didn't get my point at all.
Talk times shows that i9500(octa version) is less efficient in purely CPU and baseband actions than s800.
Fact!
LG2 achieved higher scores than i9500 in all 3 tests that GSMArena does.
Undeniable fact!
Too high standby draw is what in the end crippled G2's score. So if you're power user that uses his device almost all the time and doesn't care about standby power G2 is better device than both models of S4. [b]Don't you agree considering the scores? [/b
]And no, LG G2 not only touched but it exceeded scores achieved by i9500 in all active scenarios, if only LG fixes standby power draw than S4 will have nothing to say in this regard. Don't you agree, considering the scores achieved by both devices?
About Sony's score. As I said before, LCD draws more power than AMOLED then it's no surprise that it achieves lower score but compared to G2 at least it has very low standby power draw.

Baseband actions, yes, the Broadcom chip that the Exynos uses seems to be less power efficient here.
End of the day, we are focussing in the overall endurance rating here, this is where GSMArena have done bits of everything to recreate "real world usage", and in that, despite the less power efficient Broadcom chip in the Exynos, it clearly has better overall efficiency than the others. Yes, the G2 did great in the individual tests, except, no person will use it just for calls, just for web browsing or just for video playback. Unfortunately it's poor stand by efficiency has kept it from crushing the competition and LG aren't exactly great with SW Updates, I hope they change that as the G2 has everything else going for it.
WRT the Sony's and LCD panel, well that's just too bad, they should've worked harder, the Z1 has a shocking score for a phone with a 3000mAh battery and 5.0inch display, it should be in the 60s easily, the S4 Active also has a LCD and it faired better:

And here you have scores that show something completely different than what GSMArena reported
http://forum.xda-developers.c[....]st.php?p=45819837&postcount=39
How do you respond to that?
10hrs of video playback with 40% brightness, not too shabby for an LCD screen and 3000mah battery although still not as good as G2. Would be nice of GSMArena to redo their battery test on another sample of Z1, those scores are too low to be true and you should know that.
Now you agree that G2 achieved better individual scores than all variants of S4 and yet one post earlier you were shocked that s800 wasn't able to match energy efficiency of exynos octa and s600 when you can clearly see that it's not the case of hardware but software? You'll probably praise the s4 equipped with s800 and say how efficient it is compared to s600 and octa. Don't you agree?

I love you Sony fans, I remember just sometime ago many of you saying you will wait for a GSMArena review, now the results haven't gone in your favour and so you're questioning GSMArena. This is why Sony gets away with half baked SW and poorly implemented HW each time. The excuses just keep getting better, I must hand it to you guys, each more creative than the last.
Excuse me did you read my original post? I was shocked that the S800 BASED devices didn't beat the Exynos overall, and they certainly havent, I then questioned if this due to poor optimizations by the OEMs, its actually quite clear throughout my post that I blame the OEMs e.g Sony, I havent made a final conclusion on the S800, it's very clear in my post, you very conveniently chose to ignore that in an effort to excuse Sony.
The issue isn't just software, especially with the Sonys, it seems their LCD panels are sucking a lot of juice, its not because its LCD but because of how they made it, plenty other LCD phones have done well.

4.3 is nearing fast folks

SamMobile have leaked the I9505 FW and I've also found a leak of screenshots including an AnTuTu benchmark of the I9500, will post the latter when I find them again.

I rest my case, Samsung have done the Snapdragon 800 a lot of justice, seems the other manufacturers are rather useless at proper optimization as I thought, it's a damn shame.
