I recall being taken to watch King Kong back in 1977, at the drive-in. My folks had bought some curry which was so powerful that my dad had to drive to a nearby store to buy bananas to quell the burning. I remembered that incident better than the movie, lol. Oh, and i was angry because they used fighter planes against Kong

@Wanqa, i remember that Free Willy incident so clearly! The newspapers gave him extensive coverage

What happened to Video calling. I thought this was going to be the biggest thing.

I mean before it came everybody use to dream of having a phone that allowed to you see the other person.

It because it wasn't marketed properlly or it just not a what everybody would like to have?

Haha... Free Willy... Haha... Thanks for the heads-up guys. Anyway, I'm just as curious about video-calling. I think perhaps it's cos we all need some privacy. A lot of things could go wrong when you're using video-call.

It's bloody expensive...that's what happened to video calling. I cut down on it in January and my bill came down from about R1500 to it's usual R700. I know they'll never bring it on par with voice calls but what's the point of having this feature when it's so damn expensive.

Someone with more time on their hands could check how much a video call actually costs on the two networks.

Can't see the pics till i am logged in.

Deluded, congrats;-)

I don't think I will ever get there, due to only posting on this thread;-)

Anyhow, @ dr_thug, I on the other hand would not sit through Big Daddy if you paid me to...I watched it once, and that was enough. But usually, I have a hard time watching any movie more than once.

Anyway, talking about tastes, last night I was talking to this black guy at my church about 50 First Dates, and he says it was a depressing movie for him. Me on the other hand couldn't stop laughing all the way through. Clear example of "Different Strokes For Different Folks";-)

Which makes me think of back in the day at Sterland, going to the movies. It was so unusual for me, the crowd. I am used to silent movie crowds. Nowadays when you go to the movies, be prepared to hear the crowd cheer and jeer at the screen. It is a black culture thing I won't ever get used to, but it always makes me smile:-)

The funniest for me to this day was watching a rather decent movie and have the crowd give an applause at the end, almost a standing ovation;-) Enough to make any movie star feel like an Oscar winner;-)

Well, I will climb back into my shell. Sort of Shell Shocked after yesterdays day off and work again today. Hate it! And to top it all off I sat till 2 am making music after wasting 2-3 hours playing a game called Knight Tales on my phone...Okay, not wasting, must say, was really a fun action RPG, but boy, it wastes time!

from when Ama got the N73 i cudnt realy undastand what was all the hype around the NOKIA N73 til today, one of my frends got it in SILVER/BLACK PEARL RED, WOW!! wat a beauty,i realy envy him,i sent him sum mp4 240x320 30fps music videos (Omarion- Touch.mp4 and 50CENT-Hustler's Ambition.mp4) and they lukd gud on dat huge screen, but W900 stil gave better sharper quality than both my frends N73 and I-POD VIDEO 60GB, i took sum pics with both phones, the W900 can realy give the N73 abit of a run for its money LOL, but wat put me off was how slow the N73 is when it comes to accessing MUSIC, MESSAGES, and WEB BROWSER, but stil wat a cul phone, just not enough to make me leave my W900 for it

hey frans i think the e250 too high priced phone for those contracts but they'll probably offer some dum nokia or a under speccd SE....THE BEST PHONE IN THAT PRICE RANGE WOULD BE A MOTO V360.i used one for bout a year and it's still an excellent phone ,very very clear cam for 640x480 ,nice clear display, multi tasking lite ,that is listen to music and use mxit or minimise mxit or opera to check messages or make calls etc.plus loud speaker that's quite clear for mp3's and it uses micro sd cards.all in all i rate it very highly for the price!it's brilliant. unlike sheet v3
hey deluded u lucky esato counts your posts lol i dont think my count will be over 12 even after 2010

@W810iV: If Vodacom indicates that the phone is "Vlive" branded then that's what you'll get. I've heard of some cases where the Service Centres have debranded these phones without the warranty being voided. Ask around but I don't know of Vodacom stocking unbranded stocks of phones which are advertised as branded.
@All: Anyone with lots of spare change getting the PS3 this weekend...Only a sudden rush of blood to the head will see me part with R6200.

...and it's not worthwhile sourcing one from here when they officially go on sale from tomorrow too; it's virtually the same price with the current exchange rate!
