SEUS says that 35 is the latest version, not 37. I'm on Optus-branded firmware, and the phone restarted itself twice today =S
Any help would be very appreciated =)
Thanks in advance!

debranding is flashing your phone and removing the branding from your phone, like special icons startup screens etc from an operator selling the phone. Hope you got me.

Dear Mr Huggons,
With regards to your enquiry regarding the Sony Ericsson K850i and future software updates.
Unfortunately, at present there are no plans for any further software updates to be released for the Sony Ericsson K850i.
For us to investigate this issue further we would need to request that your handset is sent to our Sony Ericsson approved service location for an analysis and further escalation if needed.
If you wish for your handset to be investigated by an approved engineer could you please supply us with the following information.
- IMEI number of your handset.
- Your full postal address
- Date of purchase

Hello Paul,
Thanks for your reply. I would like to point out that all Sony Ericsson K850 handsets experience the same issues mentioned and therefore it would be pointless for your engineer to examine my handset. If you take a look at the approximate 10155 posts using the link I provided you with previously, or do a simple search for “K850 reboots / K850 BROD” you will also see further supporting evidence of the issues that your customers are experiencing with the handset.
Are Sony Ericsson suggesting that there is no issue to be investigated and that the problems I am experiencing are unique to my handset?
I look forward to hearing from you
Kind regards
Steve Huggons

Hi Maleen,
BROD stands for "Blue Ring Of Death" (like BSOD on PC)
BROD refers to a situation (rather a bug), when ur phone does not start properly.
The moment u power on it, the keypad lights up and the blue ring light lightsup around
the camera (which normally gets on and off while activating the camera).
The phone just stays in this mode and does not proceed or respond to anything. Only thing you
can do is turn it off....
I hope this was clear to u..
Just watch this video on youtube...

Dear Steven,
Thank you for your recent contact with the Sony Ericsson call centre.
Without inspecting the handset we are unable to rememdy any issues. If no one sends in their handset to ourselves we cannot investigate the problem and have the issues resolved. In saying this please understand that not all "crashing" faults are caused by the same thing, one instance could be caused by a defective component while another is indeed caused by bugs in the firmware.
To allow us to investigate this your handset would need to come into us for service, we would require a return postcode and address for you so that we can have the handset booked in.
Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again for further help and support.
