Regarding 3.6:
-VR-fps and VF-fps is set to default (for some reason it takes much better pics) ---> The reason this happens (IMO) is because when you increase the VF FPS you don't give the phone time to calculate the WB, thus delivering a darker picture.
You may get even better pictures if you reduce further more the VF's FPS.

If that is VF's FPS, then yes.
But that is a theory. I haven't tested it.

Anybody tried making the phone believe that the front VGA camera is the the real one?
The reason that you would want to do that is so that you can take pictures using the front camera (but lose the back camera).
You should be able to do the trick by renaming camdriver1.dat to camdriver0.dat .
I haven't tried it though.
Anyone willing to try it?

I know, but I didn't mean it as taking a picture of an object, a landscape or even you!
I meant it as taking secret pictures with the help of a java program.
