Is there already a way to synchronize contacts, tasks, notes, and calendar (or more simply, PIM) with MS Outlook? I am very dependent on Outlook hence i had been using either Symbian or windows mobile smart phones because both OS's have very good MS Outlook integration (I don't want to synchronize with my Gmail account).
Is there a free document editor for android? I use PocketWord quite often in my winmo device.
Regards.
Hi jojosiscar, all Android devices sync with Google Online Services; ie: Gmail. So all you have to do is sync outlook with gmail and google calendar, then google takes care of syncing with the android device. Forget trying to sync directly, it can be done but is very tedious and personally, annoying.
I currently have not seen any free document editors... Only free viewers. The philippine marketplace is still quite limited... But there are other resources online where you can find apps you need.

Thanks jplacson. So there is already a way to sync Outlook PIM w/ Gmail? I read somewhere that you can only sync contacts at the moment and the other PIMs are not yet supported.

I don't know the exact procedure for Outlook to Gmail since outlook setups differ. You can easily try and setup a gmail account and see if it syncs with your outlook. Just google the procedure on what you want to sync specifically. Gmail and google calendar itself has help files on outlook sync as well.
As long as it syncs well with gmail, it will sync with android. Think of it as an easy try-before-you-buy test.
let me know if you bump into any problems

There's also MPE for Android.

@jplacson
Thanks. I already looked into the Google apps sync and saw the procedure. I don't want to try it yet since I might mess with my PIM. I was hoping for a more direct way of syncing with Outlook.
@xell
I've been using MPE for a while now also. For my Elm I only sync my contacts to Outlook. My other PIMs (including contacts) are synced with my Omnia. Have you tried syncing your Android phone with Outlook via MPE?

Understood, the best way to experiment, is to export your current phonebook into one vcard file. Save this... then try the contact syncing.
Another low-tech, and safe way... is to just export to a vcard or csv file... then import into Gmail manually.

Question to all X10 Mini Pro WHITE owners... is the battery cover shiny plastic or rubberized/satin finish like the black cover?

My Pearl White mini pro's battery cover is just painted plastic. No rubberized finish at all.
Oh and it marks easily in a case that has a black fabric lining.
