tonyg - can you also please find out if it is common for the t68i's keypad lights to be uneven i.e. certain leds appear greenish blue instead of blue? i have seen a lot of sets with this problem. thanks.

I have check with SE people, at our place here so far there are no complains on the screen that with black shaded image. However the reason you have black shaded background based on your description is due to two reasons. 1. The bulb at the screen part had blown off. 2. The current cannot reach the blub due to some reasons that is why it could not be lighted up. Therefore it could be the reason you can find the black shaded part on your screen. Basically it is on electrical problem and It may have other reasons unless they can physically check your hand set and confirmed to you. Your SESC should be able to tell what is the problem. Hope this answer is satisfactory to you.
Regards

amlim>- Will let you know when I got the answer. Funny part is my T68mc key pad lights are very bright and evenly spread out. Beside under the sun you can see the keypad lights clearly when ever you are under shades. Was wondering why the original T68i had this uneven brightness problems on the keypad.

Just upgraded the t68 with R2E this moring at Accord. Manual and CD are still not available. The new software is really cool I should say.
I am sad that I did not get the preloaded MMS in inbox. Maybe because that I forgot my phone unlock code and can not do master reset, and I asked to reset for me. I was charged for another $15 for this. How come it is so expensive and it take them only 5 minutes to do this? Anybody knows is this normal for charging this?
Thanks a lot,

zwssky>- All phone manufacturers SC will practise the same code.
If it is due to negligence that your phone is spoilt such as due to dropping, water gets into the phone, or accidentally adjusted or deleted the manufacturers sw programmes, even though your phone is still under warranty, they will still charge you for repairing, adjusting or downloading the sw programmes. What will the charges be, it is depend on individual SC to price it.

Thanks a lot!
It is strange that everytime I ask them when will the CD and manual availble, they will tell me that 1-2 weeks. Is it so difficult to produce these so simple things. Strange.

zwssky>- SE Engineer had told me the CD and manual should be able to release around week 27 - week 29 if nothing goes wrong. As you know there will be still a "IF". But seriously speaking they are trying to push out around early JULY when the stocks are in where every one of us had been waiting anxiously.

Thanks for the explanation TONYG. :-) I already spoke with our local SESC representative. She will personally help me get a replacement unit.
