My bad. You are right.
I found the below site to explain the pixel pitch.

My computation now gives pixel pitch=8800/5164=1.70 micron so close to you.
What is interesting in this site is that they discuss sony tech for rx100 20mp sensor, and explain they have been able to reduce noise and increase pixel density at the same time. This was 2012 product, and we are in 2013.
They may have refined the tech, and found a way to reduce the noise/increase density a bit further, and the honami could give results close to rx100, without hoping it can match it.
