I think its SE Staff and assigned "Partners" who are testing the hardware.
I can bet there will be no photos of the real phone until its officially announced. I know of 1 case where pictures were published on the web before official announcement by an individual and SE tracked down the person who posted those photos. Needless to say he is no longer working for that partner company.
You mean the guy who got fired for posting the photos of W200 in the rumor 2007 thread??

It wouldnt surprise me if
make slight cosmetic changes to each of their protoypes, so they know who has what prototype, and can easily track down who has uploaded photos etc.
i welcome the push back of the announcement myself.
if there is problems with the hardware, and they went on to release it, then there would be another massive argument.
i personally don't think it's bad for
people are going to buy the phone regardless if Nokia are releasing ahead.

Could you now please stop picking on PeterKay!!! He WILL NOT post any pics of the phone before announcement. How hard can it be to understand?
If you've followed the discussion from the beginning you would know that he's known to speak the truth. He will be fired if he leaks pictures, so just stop!

Who says the prototype PK had was going to look like the finished product? Like i read somewhere, a proto they gave out of a different phone was nothing like the actual released handset.
Then a guy would have lost his job to satisfy some people with a photo that doesnt look like the final product

Is it so hard to wait for an official announcement... REALLY?!

as I can speak of my Employer (Network Operator), that nobody is allowed to test our Edition Mobile Phones except our own technical service in cooperation with marketing. not even our retailers get those phones for test purposes. but if SE has its own guidelines... as mentioned I could be wrong...

this year had a lot of delaying done. The K series' flagship (k700, k750, k800) which usually gets announced by March and shipped by june was of a different story this year. Looking on the bright side,
wants the best for us thats why they delay handsets

Yeah, thats why they delayed the P990 too.... to get a phone FULL of bugs..

well, it could have been worst if
did not delay p990. not only will it have bugs. it could have had cockroaches too.
so i think it was still for p990's benefit thats why it was delayed.
