That's not good. So expensive. But I think it could be worth it

Games consoles used to rule my life, but gradually let it slip. Instead discovered music, and GIRLS!!!!
I was really proud when I owned a Super Nintendo, Sega Megadrive, Gameboy and an Atari Lynx (anybody remember that?!) at the same time! And at the same time lusting after a Neo-Geo!
Now all Ive got is a Sony PS2 which is gathering dust beneth the TV. Started using it recently though as a new house-mate brought his games along.
Wots the Gamecube all about then?
As you can see, im way off the pace of current games consoles!!!

I'm steering clear of consoles. Stopped at the Dreamcast (Still good for 4 players - Sanfransico Rush anyone?)
The only thing I have at the moment is a gameboy (great during uni lectures, especially since I bought the afterburner backlight

). I also bought a 256M flash card which can store enough roms to last me a while! (I play too many games!).
Nothing beats the PC IMO. With a console you can sit down and play for 20-30 minutes then go feed the cat, but nothing compares to a coupl'a hours of Warcraft III or Neverwinter... Escapism is at a much higher level with a keyboard and mouse

Hey lads....
Ah, the lynx rocked. I've still got mine somewhere... beat the shite out of a game gear.
I've got a PS2 now, which I don't really touch since I got bored with GT3 at about 75%.
Cross-posting from another thread:
I called a SE service centre in Langley on the off-chance today, and they said they'd received a fax from Orange just a minute before saying that they were at last allowed to do the upgrade! The girl I spoke to at Orange didn't know anything about it (she even called another department), but told me to go ahead with it. I think Orange might have lifted the ban!
I'll get my phone back tomorrow morning... I hope it still works
Cya lads.

Good luck mate! I'm sure it'll be fine!
Who here has GPRS? Is it worth it?
When will T-Mobile sort it out and start the service?

Well i used to have every console going but then after my 3rd PS I got fed up and sold it for the last time. Then at xmas I got a PS2 mainly because it was a DVD player as well and I have to say I was not impressed with the games. I didn't think they were much better than the PS1 and I was pissed off.
Then the Gamecube came out and all the memories of Mario64 came flooding back and for £130 you can't really go wrong. Now I love my games again - play Rogue Leader constantly and can't wait for Mario Sunshine. My faith has been restored and I like the fact that with a console you can play on a widescreen TV with surround sound and not just a small (in my case) pc monitor.
Anyway each to their own.
I have an MP3 player also and yes I do sometimes get the connection problem as well! For some starnge reason it doesn't seem as bad when the battery is fully charged but maybe that's my imagination coz i can't see that making a difference?!

Lucky mate, very lucky! I take it you're with vodafone then?
Nintendo have always made quality games! They have so many icons in their corner: Link, Zelda, Mario, Samus, Yoshi, Kong, Megaman, the list goes on! The guy who created Mario and Zelda is an absolute genius. Mayamoto (sp?) said he used to play in caves as a child, hence the exploration of dungeons in Zelda and so on. I have many happy memories of my trusty Snes, gawd bless it's soul!

I didn't know T-Mobile still hadn't started a GPRS service.
Yeah I'm using GPRS on Voda. It's good - very fast and I have it contantly connected but it's one of those things that when you have it you use it (in my case a lot) but if you don't have it wouldn't really miss it that much.
