media player button the same as you say. but internet button is abel to change to

- activity menu
- main menu
- media player
- sound recorder
- task manager
- video telephony

dont know if this was like that before

Could you please look in the video settings as well (there where you can choose between MMS/Normal recording) to see if MP4 is available ?
It may be the case that by default it records to 3GP but can be switched to MP4...because for MMS video (I think, it's set to this by def) it always uses 3GP :S Please try setting that to Normal...
Sorry, if you have already checked this, but I'm very anxious about that
