I hope C905 have better picture quality than Samsung INNOV8.

how you become sure that picture taken by C905 Itself?

there is no EXIF Data for these pictures

Appreciate your leads, very informative & reassuring. But what I don't get is why SE is elevating VGA 30fps at such high pedestal when it's a technology commercially available almost 2 years ago if not more. Even a premium imaging device is not good enough for it, and again, that's right, put it on a smartphone- a year from now. It's ajoke, and SE should start a circus

Hey there,

Well SE is not all gung hoo on the whole video thing. They really care about it. Look at there previous models, K800i, K810i, K750i and so forth all had QCIF video rec and even in those days the tech was available for VGA rec. but SE just didn't go with it as a majority of people don't use video rec. all that much so they have been least bothered and with there brands doing well i.e.: walkman & cyber-shot they never bothered with it until last yr when it really bit them in there ass that we gotta do something in this field as well.

VGA rec. this yr has been allocated to the X! and the new P series fone which due out later this yr. Next yr the cyber-shots & walkmans will be fitted with VGA rec. along with VGA UI which then would be a constant in SE's high end stuff for the next 2 years so don't expect them to up it in any way as they won't.

However in the end of 2009 the video rec. would be further enhanced in the X fones since the X fones are basically web communications and multimedia based fones.

SE just never bothered to do anything about video rec. since not that many people incl. myself use video rec. I prefer still imagery to videos but then again that is my opinion but would love to have a device capable of shooting VGA stuff when I need it and once SE saw the financial capabilities of the N95 that such an expensive solution became such a big hit, they started to move in over-drive so they don't get screwed this yr.

So wait for next yr for VGA rec. & VGA UI as it all goes hand in hand with SE. Since C905 has QVGA rec. & QVGA UI.

But atleast SE did 2 thngs with regards to Video rec. which Nokia and Samsung don't have which is it rec. in stereo sound and video stabilization along with photo flash a very improved one in comparison to nokia and samsung. So in that regards they haven't done bad in Video rec. department this yr, they left 1 thing out but added 2 things to the video department.

And since next yr the models will be based on the fine and refined strategy of Komiyama San in which the portfolio will be further sharpened so expect alot of improvements in there high end solutions since this yr all models were developed under the previous leadership of Miles Flint in which you got the same damn thing re-packaged a million times over.

So wait for next yr, the new 10MP cyber-shot.

the c905 could be the first phone that you genuinely rather take out than a real to shoot some snaps at the beach of your kids.
Does anybody know the lens size difference between k850 and the c902

Micks, thank you for this interesting updates!
But next year the standard video resolution for hi-tech devices will be 720×480.
And this improvements like video stabilizator and stereo sound are useless when QVGA is the maximal video rec. resolution .

@Micks To belive you or not to belive you. This is the question. Which SE phones record in stereo + video stabilization? (oh my n 70 back in '06 had video stabilization,but we are not talking about nokia here) Certainly you are making lots and lots of claims, any proof to substantiate what you are saying? What is the modul's name and where is it manufactured?

i know definately my k800i had video stabilisation, and was launched in 06. Dunno if the k750 had it?
