maybe the external memory will be an attachable device for the phone, like the mp3 player. But will just have a built in 64mb mem card or something?

am i the only one that has noticed that the z1010 and the k700 are both based on the same firmware!
thats why there will be permanently options on the k700 that will be disactivated (i.e. the external memory)
it seems like a really stupid idea, but that the only conclusion i can manage to come to.

Nobody is even sure that external memory option will be in the final phone when its available, so theres not much point speculating about it right now until we all get our hands on one.

The Z1010 and K700 dont run the same firmware, they just did at Cebit as the Z1010's firmware was used to make the K700 work, as its own firmware wasnt even complete. SE did this so they could show off working models of the K700, instead of a dummy. The same can be said for the S700. It also will get its own firmware once SE have written it FOR the phone.

You have to keep in mind that SE are aiming the K700 at the mass market, like the Nokia 3310, and the T610. It isnt aimed at being a smartphone or a business phone, thats why it doesnt include a Duo slot.
