SE are still on for this week to place the new firmware on there server. However this is subject to change like it has with the other dates.

You can update your phone at Wotan server for aprox £5 and the phone should still update through the se firmware after.

I cant confirm or gaurantee that the firmware will def released on the SEUS server (I wish i could) however all i know that they are still aiming for the release some time this week, However im not comiting my sellf so dont have a go at me if its not on.

I will try to keep you informed if there are any changes or i can find out something.

I know the info isnt good news, but it isnt bad either.

I still have R1CB001, yet the update service function in the phone tells me that I have the latest program version, even though the R1ED should be out by now. Has anyone ever updated their phone using the phone's built-in update service? Is SEUS working better?

Can you explain this: "even though the R1ED should be out by now". Who says this? SE, you, the man on the moon? Dude, the update will be out when it is out. You can do like me and many others and use WOTAN to update.

I dont really want to pay to upgrade. I also dont really have a problem with my phone. I am still to find a bug that badly affects the running of the phone. It has not crashed yet and makes calls ok. I dont see the rush that some people seem to be in to update. I will upgrade when it is available on seus.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly. However, you have people that do nothing but sit on their phones all day looking for bugs, trying to make it crash, anything but getting a life outside of their phones.

The only major problems I have come across on my k800is were hardware related so a firmware update would have been useless.

That's a shame. Well at least you're only 1/1000000 possible phone users with only HW problems, so don't sweat. I think you should take your phone in for a replacement.

1. Green Video Recording Line

(Fortunately this does not show on playback)

2. When playing music in the music player, the song name does not move across to show the whole name.

(Only when a song has a moderately long name)

3. Menu is not as fast as I would like.

(This could be improved with firmware, as the K750 was and that was a marvelous improvement)

Other than that the K800 is perfect! Quick, brilliant screen, brilliant video playback (King Kong is awesome), brilliant sound/music...
