Just realised that I forgot to mention what marlonxp meant by his post.
From what I understand, it means that the phone / batt charges better and faster when it is turned off.
I would agree that the phone charges faster, as to the claim of charging better, I have no supporting evidence to dismiss his claims nor have any evidence to support it.
As a personal opinion, I would think it is always better to charge it in OFF mode. However, I won't do that as I need to have it on to receive calls. Reason, I'm on call 24/7, besides, I love having the phone on. : )
The first few times I charge with the phone off was with a backup simcard. That was also to recalibrate the battery. It usually takes @least 4 charges and discharges before the battery can be used optimally. I'm not certain if this is true for this new kind of batts, but from my experiences, Li-ion works that way and I will stick to that way till I find other better methods.

Best way to charge a batt is in off mode, but discharge a li pol usually isnt effective, they arent so stable as li ion.

In that case, do you think it was a wise move for SE to use this new kind of batts, given that Li-ion is a more stable alternative.
the note below has been PM-ed to Bob, however, Bob said it was fine to leave it. I just hope I don't cause any unnecessary trouble. i didn't post it initially as i wasn't sure if it was related to the Topic of this forum here.

p.s.
- i don't intend to make anyone crazy, so, should i remove the post?

U are in the best place to discuss t610 and batts. The problem is not the li pol technology, more its not well made yet. Think it is an apart of batt-tech chain.

Thank you for your replies (referring to all).
I guess this is the phase where they call it teething problems. Do you know if T610 is the first phone that used this new kind of battery? What is the full term of this Poly-Batt.
I think I will do some in-depth reading on this. It'll be very benificial to us all in the future. Of course, by that time, there probably be some other super technology.
Who knows? You may not even need a mobile phone to talk then!
I just can't stop saying this --- I love the design and style of the T610. Its an almost perfect beauty. Frankly, I can't think of anything that comes close to it.
It would be good that SE actually did a revised T610, keeping the shell but improving on
- weight
- software
- hardware
- maybe even more fantastic color combo (which i've no suggestions to yet)

Li-ion are far more stable than Li-pol, but Li pol manage energy better, still they are a new kind of battery, so development is necesary to improve them, anyway I'm satisfied with it performance, not optimal yet but acceptable.

So, we can safely assume that the T610 batt life will improve when we purchase our next batt from SE, right?
I do hope they come up with a good one soon. Not that I need one right now, but its great that they come out early, and by the time I need one, the prices should've dropped and the early bugs would've been squashed too.

Well, they've had more than a year to do so, so I also hope that they've debugged that Li-pol and came out with an improved battery, that way I will be able to leave the charger at home.
