Like numb said, you're able to update even branded handsets using the online update, the SE website just provides you with the necessary branded firmware when you select your operator.
It wont allow you to update using unbranded firmware unless your phone is unbranded, like mine.

And if I buy a branded K750i and then I could unbrand it, then I could update it with unbranded firmware or there is something else that SE server compares apart the firmware version like IMEI or something else.
Thanks

Anyone know how the "limited edition" case will look like? If its nothing special I'll just order from another shop, where it is much lower priced.

Can anyone tell me if video is less compressed and records sound at a higher volume than the K700i.Can't hear a thing on my K700i on playback.3gp files don't work on my PC.I guess I could find out in a week or two myself.
This message was posted from a K700i

The ease of use of the menu system on the K750i had me hooked; it was fast, slick and very pretty.
thanks for that, reviews said it was as slow as before, but think it should be ok

They'd probably have the phones IMEI noted down somewhere as a branded handset. Whos knows for sure though, try it and see ?
Btw, watch some of the videos taken by the K750i posted throughout this thread and you'll noticed it records video much better. The audio probably records at the same volume.
Also, videos of the K750i show the interface as being much much faster than the K700i's - which i thought was fast !

I'm so curious about K750's screen quality. Wanna know if it's much brighter and more contrast than S700's. Anybody got the clue?
I know that S700 has QVGA resolution in the screen, which makes it sharper than any K750's (for sure), but brighter colors can make a different story. Right?

People who've had their hands on the phone say you really cant tell much difference other than resolution between the two screens.
SE probably used the same screen in both phones, except (obviously) had to downsize the resolution to fit the K750i's smaller form.
Btw, i dont think id like a QVGA screen in a phone the size of the k750i - the pixels would be far too small and text would probably be hard to read. If the K750i was the same size as the S700i, they'd probably go for the better QVGA resolution. On the K750i - its simply not needed.
