I think it's safe to assume that 1 ii is doing good in markets Sony has strong foothold before like Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and UK. This is also the most recent Sony flagship that has caught much attention in the states. No wonder sales are more than what Sony has expected

Using variable ND on the 1ii makes things a lot better in high contrast scenes.
Hope Sony realizes that the phone accessories market isn't dead yet especially for cameras.
Sony should bundle that variable ND to answer the weakness of the camera which is overexposure. Their targets are professionals anyway even if that is cumbersome.
