i dont think its officially released yet, as the usual places to buy phones, expansys, theorder, phones4u,, o2online, cpw, dont seem to have it and says quarter 4....even se saying coming soon. I dont think it will be at that price anyway coz thats way too much for a phone on a high tariff.

It didn't say that earlier but your right, it now says pre-order.
They give a reason for this though:
"The S700i was promised for delivery on 16 September 2004, but unfortunately a batch of K700i were received instead. Orders now will be treated as pre-orders and when approved, will be shipped among the first batch of phones received. There is no fixed date available but the stock should arrive soon."
